Inspired by the american city Lewittown that was built
in the 1950s with prefabricated houses only, we imagined this photographic
scene. This city proposed a few standard housing models with all the comfort
of modern life for a very low cost.
This project is a virtual 3D model that represents a city neighbourhood that
is going to be constructed but where only construction stakes are visible.
In relation to the computer medium, this town follows the same logic, which
means that it is going to be built all at once, and in the “copy and
paste” fashion.
Under a starry sky, resting against one of the construction stake, a man wearing
a party hat seems lost in his thoughts. By introducing a human character in
this context, we create a relation to the spectator; this man represents the
ambiguity between the happiness everyone can reach and the other side of this
picture.
