This artistic intervention, realized for the school "le collège
des Mûriers", deals with the theme "numbers and letters"
proposed for this competition. Our idea was to get close to the children’s
universe while integrating the architecture of the building.
We created a small door, 1 m 10 high, always locked and identical to the
other doors of the school. On this door, one can read the sentence: "Take
care of the sense, and the sounds will take care of themselves", drawn
from Lewis Carroll’s book Alice in Wonderland.
Through this intervention, we wish to symbolize the idea of the crossing;
from learning to reading, from child to adult, from reality to fiction.
In fact, what we propose is above all to arouse the imagination of the inhabitants
of these premises.
