2011 - TERRITOIRE, BEX&ARTS, 11ème édition, Parc de Szilassy, Bex, CH

A boat strikes the surface of a meadow causing surprising waves. Halfway between solid and liquid, the ground seems to be transfigured under the impact. The context shifts, the green plain might as well be a body of water. This disturbing image queries an altering reality or a changing landscape. In a park where nature has been carefully planned and shaped, Dropping Bay recalls its wild side and an unpredictable power for metamorphosis. Looking at this piece, the viewer is challenged by his environmental benchmarks. Is he the witness of a silent disaster or he is looking at fictional landscape?
