The series of nine photographs, as well as the video datatown tackle the issues linked to place recognition amidst the countless signage stimuli invading our everyday life. The road network, the advertising posters, designations for places, buildings, streets, etc. are so many indicators that society puts at our disposal for driving. Indeed, by isolating the graphic markers of an urban landscape, the artists propose a new reconstructed space. The amalgam of these urban texts and the black background resemble the contemporary computer environment.
These images reflect a landscape generated by a society which only functions thanks to codified informations.
